International Shipping

There are several options when it comes to overseas shipping with Boutique Cigar Brands. Overall, we try to be as accommodating as possible for our international customers. Generally, most customers choose to use USPS, but occasionally, customers will have their own accounts with a freight forwarding service or other carriers. Choose whatever option is right for you!

Option 1) Shipping through a freight forwarding company or other shipping carrier

This option is commonly used by international customers who receive regular shipments and want to reduce their costs. After establishing a relationship with a shipping carrier of your choice, please contact us to make the appropriate arrangements to send out your order(s).

Option 2) Shipping through the United States Postal Service. (Most popular for retail customers)

After determining the approximate shipping cost of your order, please contact us to make the appropriate arrangements for shipping your order. Alternatively, you can also contact us, and we will go through the process of estimating your shipping cost and help you place your order.

Step 11) Decide on what shipping method you'd like to use and determine the estimated cost. Priority mail is the most widely used choice. Please keep in mind that these shipping prices are only estimates. The true shipping cost will depend on the actual "weigh-in" weight of your boxed package, and is always based on the "Post Office Price". (Image below)

International Shipping: Disclaimers and Notices

Please be aware that Boutique Cigar Brands cannot be responsible for duties, taxes, and any other charges imposed by any 3rd party agency or shipping carriers. It's important to do your own research before placing an order.

Unless there is a special request, we ship all international orders using USPS Priority Mail and use commodity codes that designate our goods truthfully. Depending on the country, the inspecting customs agent may charge taxes and duties on our goods and/or have special restrictions for import. It is the responsibility of our customers to ask import officials the regulations regarding tobacco products and cigars.

If the package gets sent back to us, and you want it sent out again, you would have to pay for shipping again. If you decide that you do not want the package re-shipped and would like a refund, you would only get refunded the item total, minus a 5% restocking fee. Shipping cost does not get refunded. If the goods are destroyed or not returned, refunds are not available.

If a package is returned for being unclaimed, or for another reason that causes Boutique Cigar Brands to be charged a fee, this amount will be subtracted from your refund total.

With all of that being said, this situation does NOT happen often, but it can happen. We just want to make you aware of it just in case. If there is a big concern or depending on your circumstance, you can always try reaching your local customs office and tell them that you would like to import cigars, and ask them if there is anything you should be aware of.

Customers in Canada: You can still order online! Simply enter your postal code into the box above without any spaces and proceed with the checkout process.

As of February 2014, the excise duty for cigars being imported into Canada is $0.03 per cigar, as well as 82% of the duty-paid value (sales price) of the cigars. This is for informational purposes only. For a full list of potential fees please contact your local customs officials.

It is also our understanding that UPS charges an additional "brokerage fee" for delivering goods to Canadian customers, while USPS does not. That explains the price gap in shipping options.
NOTE: If placing an order with an item total over $200, it's recommended to either call in for a custom UPS quote, or choose USPS when checking out online.
